Abstract of the presentation: Yohan Payan’s research interests concern the biomechanical modeling of soft tissues in the context of Computer-Assisted Medical Interventions (CAMI). This invited lecture will introduce the CAMI field while focusing on face modeling. This modeling was developed at TIMC-IMAG Laboratory (www-timc.imag.fr) in the context of computer assisted plastic and maxillofacial surgery. The lecture will be dedicated to the question of threads’ anchoring when inserted into facial soft tissues.
